The core of the M.U.S.T. architecture relies on a suite of more than 30 modular components that can be freely combined to satisfy virtually any mission-specific requirement. The ecosystem ranges from low-profile undergarments intended for undercover operations to heavy-duty overgarments featuring integrated plate pockets optimized for vehicle crews, alongside dedicated plate carriers equipped with rapid-donning four-hook buckles. To ensure maximum flexibility under fire, Mehler has integrated clear, intuitive interfaces that enable users to scale up from a lightweight plate carrier to comprehensive heavy armor configurations within seconds.
Ballistic protection is sustained through a wide selection of soft- and hard-ballistic extensions alongside multiple protective plate configurations engineered for the front, back, and sides of the torso. The anatomically shaped 3D soft-ballistic modules protect vulnerable areas including the flanks, upper arms, thighs, abdomen, and groin, utilizing designs that comply with current international regulatory guidelines. For high-threat environments, the system can be upgraded to withstand VPAM 9 level ballistics, offering a heavily up-armored envelope that maintains a low physical profile to prevent material degradation of the wearer’s mobility.
