Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 31, 2023. Fiscal 2010 Foreign Military Sales (Egypt) funds in the amount of $26,067,335 were obligated at the time of the award. The Oshkosh Defense HET A1 (M1070A1) heavy equipment transporter is an improved version of the previous US Army M1070. This new tank heavy equipment transporter has a more powerful engine, armored cab and a number of other improvements, such as anti-lock brakes, traction control system and upgraded electrical systems. The M1070A1 is a purpose-designed heavy-duty military vehicle. It is used in conjunction with an M1000 semi-trailer and is designed to transport the M1A1 and M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks.
