MD Helicopters (MDH) is pleased to announce the contract signing of an MD 530F with Special Missions training center in Argentina. The aircraft will be used for police, security, and military training in heli-borne assault and reconnaissance operations at their state-of-the-art training center in La Pampa Providence, Argentina. Special Missions ordered the MD 530F helicopter to add to its training fleet of a Robinson 66, Cessna Grand Caravan, and a Cessna 172. The aircraft is scheduled to be delivered in Q2 2025. The 530F is custom configured with a mission equipment package that includes a crash resistant auxiliary fuel tank, OnBoard Dual Cargo Hook system, Tyler Special Ops Platform, and a Tyler MD Fast Rope, among other items to ensure it fits the training mission profile for its customers.

MD-530F is a multi-purpose light attack and reconnaissance helicopter manufactured by MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI), an aerospace company based in the US. The MD 530F armed light attack helicopter is an improved version of the OH-6 Cayuse light observation helicopter. It features modular design and FAA-certified, high-capacity, extended landing gear. The airframe is attached with tinted doors and windows on the left and right sides. The MD 530F Cayuse Warrior helicopter is armed with FN HMP400 LCC (links and case collector) coaxial airborne weapon system developed by FN Herstal. The machine gun pod features .50cal FN M3P machine gun. Its weapon system supports all types of 12.7mm x 99mm Nato ammunition rounds. FN HMP400 has a fully loaded weight of 138kg and ammunition storage capacity of 400 rounds. The weapon system can fire at a rate of around 1,100 rounds a minute. The helicopter can also be attached with Mace Aviation-developed Extended Range Weapons Wing (ER2W), which has four weapons stations and a 35gal internal fuel tan
