PLATH Corporation GmbH Acquires Stake in Czech Company Primoco UAV SE

PLATH Corporation GmbH has acquired a stake in the Czech company Primoco UAV SE. The investment in the company, which develops and produces civil and military unmanned aerial systems, follows several years of close cooperation between the company and the Systems and Integration business division, the system integrator within the PLATH Group. ‘On 10 May 2024, we strengthened our close partnership with the Czech company Primoco by acquiring a share package of 3% for the time being’, says Stefan Efftinge, Managing Director of PLATH Corporation GmbH. ‘I am very pleased that we are now following up on several years of successful cooperation with an investment. The market for unmanned aerial systems will also continue to grow in the coming years and the cooperation between the two companies in this growth area can thus be placed on even broader pillars – a win-win situation for both specialists’. The shares were transferred on 21 May 2024.

PLATH Corporation GmbH forms the umbrella of the family-run, medium-sized PLATH group of companies with extensive market and technology expertise in data-driven crisis prevention, headquartered in Hamburg. The group of companies supplies the defence and security market with dedicated products, systems and services and is divided into five highly specialised business units. The PLATH Group comprises 11 companies and employs over 600 people in Europe and worldwide.

Michael Kalt, Managing Director of PLATH Airborne Solutions, is also enthusiastic: ‘Intensive market research and previous joint projects have confirmed to us that the PRIMOCO UAV ONE 150 drone is the most economical solution for selected applications. The investment is therefore the next logical step’.

The Czech company Primoco UAV develops and produces the UAV ONE 150 civil and military unmanned aerial system, which can fly completely autonomously according to pre-programmed flight plans, including fully automated take-offs and landings. One of the main features of the UAV is its exceptional operational endurance, thanks to which it can operate non-stop for up to 15 hours at an operational speed of 100-150 km/h and, with a range of up to 2,000 km, is suitable for a variety of missions in both civil and defence and security contexts. It is particularly noteworthy that Primoco is one of the few companies in Europe to have received authorisation from EASA to fly the drone in civil airspace. The company’s flight system is currently used on three continents to inspect product pipelines and distribution networks in the energy sector, to ensure border and coastal security, to monitor fires and for search and rescue missions. Primoco UAV SE is a publicly traded company listed on the Prague Stock Exchange START.
