FNSS Introduces ARCT (Anti-Tank Remote-Controlled Turret)

The Turkish defense company FNSS has unveiled its groundbreaking ARCT (Anti-Tank Remote-Controlled Turret). Designed explicitly for anti-tank roles, this turret boasts integrated features that set it apart from counterparts with add-on missile capabilities. The ARCT offers unmatched versatility by accommodating either KORNET-E or OMTAS ATGM missiles. Its ingenious modular design, relying on a common base structure and interchangeable subsystems for different missile types, ensures adaptability without compromising efficiency. This flexibility grants users the freedom to seamlessly integrate various missiles, catering to diverse operational needs.

The ARCT employs an integrated armor solution that maximizes protection while minimizing weight through advanced armor materials. Inside the vehicle, the gunner operates from a control console, conducting surveillance, target detection, identification, and missile lock-on functions—all shielded by ballistic protection. In critical situations, the turret’s independent power system enables continued operation, enhancing mission endurance regardless of the vehicle’s battery status.Unlike traditional manned turrets, the ARCT lacks a basket structure and mounts directly above the vehicle’s roof. This design optimizes internal vehicle space while ensuring compatibility with diverse armored vehicle types.

Equipped with two anti-tank guided missiles and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, the ARCT offers a 360-degree traverse capability. Its digital fire control system ensures precise ballistic calculations, optimizing hit probability for both missiles and the machine gun. The cutting-edge gunner’s sight integrates thermal and day cameras, a laser rangefinder, and missile guidance electronics, guaranteeing effectiveness in varied conditions. Impressively, in initial firing tests, the ARCT displayed accuracy even at maximum missile range. Further enhancing firepower and expanding mission range, the turret’s secondary armament supports automated functions from within the vehicle. The turret’s digital electric drive system and two-axis stabilization bolster accuracy during mobile firing.
