Bogaziçi Savunma’s ILTER Drone Detection and Jamming Systems played a pivotal role in Azerbaijan’s recent counter-terrorism operations in Karabakh. These operations witnessed the successful deployment of the ILTER J250 and ILTER HP systems by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, resulting in the detection and neutralization of multiple drones operated by the Armenian Armed Forces. This strategic employment of the ILTER Drone Detection and Jamming Systems effectively thwarted the reconnaissance and surveillance activities conducted by Armenian elements along the front lines. The outcome was a significant enhancement in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces’ situational awareness and their capacity to safeguard their own interests. The ILTER Drone Detection and Jamming System series, conceived and crafted by Bo?aziçi Savunma, has garnered widespread acclaim internationally, boasting an impressive 90% domestic production content. Not only is it the favored choice domestically, but it is also the preferred solution in over ten countries worldwide.
The latest addition to the ILTER family, the J250 Drone Detection and Jamming System, is specially designed to automatically identify and jam rotary or fixed-wing mini/micro UAVs using its RF sensors. This system delivers fully automatic detection, jamming, and deception capabilities, powered by an impressive total output of over 250W. It can be employed in both mobile and fixed installations, featuring an internal battery for uninterrupted operation. The ILTER HP Mobile High-Power GNSS Deception and ISM Jamming System is another remarkable addition to the ILTER series. It stands out for its ability to jam and mislead targets in secure areas up to an impressive range of 80 km, all while maintaining high mobility. The system employs line-of-sight software to calculate the points affected by the jamming, while its antennas automatically align with the target, ensuring seamless jamming, blinding, and deceiving without any signal loss. Housed within a 4×4 enclosed vehicle, this system is capable of continuous operation for a full 24 hours.
The deployment of ILTER Drone Detection and Jamming Systems by Azerbaijan is a significant development in the region and has the potential to alter the balance of power in the ongoing conflict with Armenia. The systems will allow Azerbaijan to better defend its borders and infrastructure against drone attacks, which have become increasingly common in recent years. The ILTER systems are also capable of jamming and deceiving enemy drones, which could give Azerbaijan a significant advantage in gathering intelligence and conducting surveillance operations. The deployment of these systems is a clear signal from Azerbaijan that it is willing to invest in advanced technologies to protect its national security interests. It is also a reminder to other countries in the region that they need to keep pace with the latest technological developments in order to maintain a military edge.
