The Avibras facility in Lorena played host to the Agulhas Negras Operation conducted by the Brazilian Army2nd Division, further solidifying the company’s enduring partnership with the country’s military institution. From September 18 to 25, the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion from Osasco, São Paul o, and the 13th Mechanized Cavalry Regiment from Pirassununga, São Paulo, were stationed at the Avibras facility. This operation brought together 368 soldiers, 35 vehicles, and 20 armored vehicles, which included the formidable Guarani, Urutu, and Cascavel. This large-scale operation, set to continue until September 30, stands as one of the Land Force’s most extensive training exercises in 2023, involving approximately 4,500 military personnel from 40 different units. The overarching objective of the Agulhas Negras Operation is to ensure the readiness of the troops within the 2nd Division for both offensive and defensive operations. It also emphasizes cooperation and coordination with various agencies, all while honing command and leadership skills at all levels. The operation’s theater spans across the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, showcasing the Brazilian Army’s versatility and preparedness.
