This operation brought together 368 soldiers, 35 vehicles, and 20 armored vehicles, which included the formidable Guarani, Urutu, and Cascavel. This large-scale operation, set to continue until September 30, stands as one of the Land Force’s most extensive training exercises in 2023, involving approximately 4,500 military personnel from 40 different units. The overarching objective of the Agulhas Negras Operation is to ensure the readiness of the troops within the 2nd Division for both offensive and defensive operations. It also emphasizes cooperation and coordination with various agencies, all while honing command and leadership skills at all levels.
