French defense and security specialist CNIM Systèmes Industriels took center stage at MSPO 2023 to showcase their state-of-the-art offerings. With a legacy dating back to 1856, CNIM has consistently provided reliable equipment and pioneering solutions for engineering forces. At this year’s exhibition, CNIM Systèmes Industriels is proudly presenting a range of systems, including the New Generation of Motorized Floating Bridges PFM F3 and the ROCUS, a robotic system designed for clearing trapped routes. CNIM Systèmes Industriels’ display at MSPO 2023 underscores its unwavering dedication to providing cutting-edge solutions for the modern challenges faced by land forces, bolstering their capabilities and security on the field.

The Motorized Floating Bridge, a trusted asset in armed forces worldwide for over two decades, has demonstrated its effectiveness by spanning over 5,500 meters of waterways and earning high marks from users. In response to the evolving challenges faced by NATO countries in enhancing their wide wet gap crossing capabilities, CNIM Systèmes Industriels has unveiled the next generation of this essential tool. The new PFM boasts enhanced capabilities, capable of ferrying even the heaviest military vehicles, including tanks like the M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams, Leopard 2A7, Challenger 3, Leclerc, and MGCS. With MLC 90 Tracked and MLC 100 Wheeled crossing capabilities, it ensures safe passage for current and future armed forces vehicles. This flexibility is further underscored by compatibility with all 8×8 carriers in service and the option for deployment from special semi-low loaders.

A highlight of the PFM is its high-performance integrated engines, managed through a single remote control and command system. This streamlines construction and deployment, minimizing logistical requirements and reducing the need for auxiliary craft and operators. The New Generation Motorized Floating Bridge excels in rapid deployment and boasts excellent maneuverability on water. Notably, it significantly reduces logistical and personnel footprints, eliminating the need for tugboats and optimizing carrier numbers. The PFM can be deployed as a bridge or ferry, making it the most versatile solution on the market. Beyond its military applications, it can serve in civilian operations, such as replacing damaged fixed bridges during natural disasters. CNIM Systèmes Industriels proudly announces that the PFM will equip the Polish Army by 2025, ensuring wet gap crossings for all present and future Polish land forces vehicles, including the formidable Abrams tank – SEPv3.

In today’s conflict scenarios, the threat posed by Improved Explosive Devices (IEDs) takes a significant toll on both personnel and equipment. In response, CNIM Systèmes Industriels has introduced ROCUS, a route clearance system tailored to meet the security needs of military convoys in the field. ROCUS is an unmanned vehicle remotely operated by sappers, keeping them safely distant from mined areas. It features an intuitive interface and Bird View mode for straightforward setup and operation. With a robust 4-meter manipulator arm capable of lifting loads up to 100kg, ROCUS can inspect, confirm, and neutralize threats, ensuring the safety of soldiers and convoy progress. As a tracked vehicle with high mobility and low ground pressure, ROCUS can operate in challenging terrain, providing a 10-hour autonomy that allows it to accompany troops in remote areas.
