The successful launch of INS Vindhyagiri, the sixth stealth frigate of Project 17A (improved Shivalik-class), marks a significant milestone in India’s pursuit of self-reliance in warship building and strengthens the nation’s commitment to bolstering its maritime security. M/s GRSE’s consistent success in partnering with the Indian Navy is demonstrated through the multiple successful conventional launches in the past. Project 17A Frigates, an advanced class derived from the Project 17 (Shivalik Class) Frigates, feature improved stealth capabilities, advanced weaponry, sensors, and platform management systems.
