Aeronautics Group Unveils Trojan Unmanned Hover Plane (UHP)

Aeronautics Group launches the Trojan – a one-of-a-kind system, which bridges the gap between the need to hover and the need to reach long ranges on 6 June. The new Unmanned Hover Plane (UHP) category is a game-changer, due to its ability to perform aerial missions with pinpoint precision. It has been developed to offer the ability to operate at extended ranges and in a hover flight profile when required. Trojan had been developed following a company-led analysis of the future battlefield that coincided with feedback from operators, which highlighted several common requirements that could not be met by existing technologies.

The Trojan capabilities support challenging operational missions while simultaneously performing point-to-multipoint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), thereby creating a solution for versatile and dynamic environments, and achieving Wide-Area-Persistent-Surveillance (WAPS). The system’s multi-platform architecture utilizes multiple sensors, together with advanced analytics capabilities, to ensure accurate, reliable, real-time situational awareness. The system’s can operate out to 150 km and has an endurance of 2.5 hours, which Perry said can be achieved when carrying its maximum payload of 12 kg.
