Choctaw Defense Awarded $26 Million US Navy Contract to Procure 700 Munitions Handling Unit Trailers

Choctaw Defense Manufacturing LLC, McAlester, Oklahoma, is awarded a $26,334,300 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. This contract procures up to 700 Munitions Handling Unit Trailers in support of common aviation support equipment for the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in McAlester, Oklahoma, and is expected to be completed in August 2028. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to U.S. Small Business Administration, 8(a) Business Development program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Choctaw Defense was formed from the roots of the Choctaw Manufacturing and Development Corporation, a supplier of laser-guided bomb components for Texas Instruments. Choctaw Defense is fulfilling contracts for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon. With locations in McAlester, Antlers, and Hugo, Oklahoma facilities house modern machinery and equipment that aid in achieving quick turnaround times and quality products. Choctaw Defense is owned by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, the third largest Native American tribe in the United States.
