NIMR’s recently launched AJBAN MK2 include a maximum speed of 110 km/h and a cruising range of 700 km at 100 km/h to meet tactical mission requirements. Built upon a ruggedized platform that supports various operational layouts, this tactical vehicle features full-time four-wheel drive powered by a high-performance, water-cooled turbocharged diesel engine capable of generating up to 360 horsepower. It is uniquely designed to accommodate the physical requirements of 95th-percentile soldiers, providing an optimized layout that fits a crew of up to five personnel or more depending on the configuration. To ensure seamless adaptability across shifting combat landscapes, the vehicle integrates a central tyre inflation system that allows the crew to inflate or deflate the tyres dynamically to suit different off-road and highway terrain conditions.

Crew survivability remains at the core of the AJBAN MK2 architecture, which integrates state-of-the-art ballistic and blast protection systems. The vehicle is constructed with a monocoque hull and a specialized V-hull unit structure that efficiently deflects and mitigates the impact of destructive mine explosions. Inside the high-volume under-armour cabin, occupants are secured in front-facing, blast-attenuating seats designed to minimize injury during sudden detonations. This protective philosophy extends to the vehicle’s logistics, featuring an optionally protected engine bay, a secure emergency fuel tank, and a ballistic-protected rear cargo compartment where mission-critical batteries are housed safely away from potential hazards.

Beyond its physical resilience, the platform offers an impressive modular internal design that allows it to easily transition into several mission variants, including observation, command, communication, internal security, and logistics roles. It supports a wide array of combat and defensive options such as a roof-mounted weapon ring mount for a self-defense gun, smoke grenade launchers, and advanced obstacle awareness cameras for both front and rear visibility. Maintenance and battlefield readiness are also significantly optimized through a single-unit power pack configuration, enabling the entire engine, cooling system, transmission, and transfer case to be rapidly extracted and replaced to ensure minimal downtime during active deployment.

The Nimr (meaning Tiger) is a family of all-terrain military armored personnel carrier (APC) vehicles, co-developed with GAZ and produced by Nimr LLC in the United Arab Emirates. The Nimr is designed specifically for military operations in the harsh desert climates found in the Middle East. The Nimr is a multipurpose vehicle intended to address the requirements for replacement of existing 4×4 light tactical vehicles, primarily in the Middle East and Asia. In February 2009, Bin Jabr group and Tawazun Holdings set up a joint venture to produce the vehicle which was called Nimr Automotive LLC. The production facilities are located in the Tawazun Industrial Park in Abu Dhabi.
