On July, 22nd 2021, Paratroopers from across the 82nd Airborne Division conducted a jump alongside their Allies in the Royal Thai Army and conducted a wing exchange. Although as a result of the coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak, this Cobra Gold 2021 Joint Combined Training Course has been revised to reflect the situation on both sides, The Thai Army and the United States Army. The Royal Thai Army receive training from the 82nd Airborne Division (82nd Airborne Division) ‘All American’ at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
The preparations in Thailand and the US training of 31st Infantry Regiment, King’s Guard also demonstrate the modernization of the Royal Thai Army’s air delivery operations, such as the adoption of a new tactical T-11 parachute in Jumped from a transport aircraft Airbus C295W. Including uniforms, field equipment and body equipment that has been continuously developed to be modern and suitable for use from learning with foreign armies. The 31st Infantry Regiment, King Bhumibol’s Guard is a King’s Guard regiment of the 1st Infantry Division, King’s Guard of the Royal Thai Army. The regiment was created in 1955. The regiment, despite being designated an infantry regiment is in fact a rapid deployment force unit. The regiment is based in Lopburi. The regiment was honoured with the additional title of ‘King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Guards’. The regiment is divided into three infantry battalions, 1st Infantry Battalion, 2nd Infantry Battalion and 3rd Infantry Battalion.
