Personnel of the anti-aircraft missile unit of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District (CMD), stationed in the Altai territory, on the eve of their professional holiday, took part in a training exercise to repel an air attack on a military object at the Biysk training ground. The Buk missile system (Beech) is a family of self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile systems developed by the Soviet Union and its successor state, the Russian Federation, and designed to counter cruise missiles, smart bombs, fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
