GKN Aerospace will play a central role in Anduril UK’s team following the UK Ministry of Defence’s decision to down-select the company for the next phase of Project NYX. Building on its strong presence on the Isle of Wight, where it employs around 1,000 people, GKN Aerospace will help scale production of this next-generation platform. The programme underlines the strength of the UK’s sovereign defence industrial base, combining cutting-edge autonomous technology with proven aerospace engineering. It also represents a major opportunity for regional growth, with the potential to create up to 100 new high-skilled jobs on the Isle of Wight as the programme progresses.
