French military vehicle manufacturer Arquus displayed a prototype of its new MAV’Rx 4×4 multi role armored vehicle combining significant payload capacity, high protection, and medium caliber armament while maintaining excellent mobility in a private area of the Eurosatory 2024 defence exhibition held from 17 to 21 June in Paris. This versatile multi mission platform benefits from Arquus’s globally recognized expertise in wheeled mobility. Equipped with independent wheel suspensions and a 400hp engine wheeled mobility. Arquus, as an expert in system integration, ensures M A V ’Rx is optimized for high intensity operations. From its inception, MAV’Rx has been designed with battlefield maintenance and support constraints in mind to ensure maximum operational availability. The interior design allows for seamless communication among personnel, and thermal comfort is ensured for extreme conditions. Controls and information are strategically distributed to reduce crew cognitive load. The BATTLENET system provides the vehicle commander with enhanced tactical awareness and quicker response times.
The MAV’Rx prototype is designed to transport an infantry squad of up to eight soldiers, offering superior protection and mobility. This 19-ton vehicle boasts a payload capacity of up to four tons and meets STANAG 4569 Level 3 protection standards, ensuring high survivability in combat scenarios. MAV’Rx offers the highest levels of comfort and ergonomics. Air conditioning and heating are designed for all climatic environments. Interior space and access have been designed to the highest ergonomic standards. In addition to ballistic and mine protection, the MAV’Rx is equipped with NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) filtration systems and an integrated fire suppression system, enhancing crew safety in various threat environments. For quick deployment, the crew can exit via a hydraulically operated rear ramp.
Arquus Defense is rooted in a century of innovation and development at the service of the armed forces. This industrial tradition, which began with Panhard and Levassor, has marked the history of national defense through mythical figures such as Marius Berliet (the trucks of the Sacred Way) and Louis Renault, co-inventor of the FT 17. It has produced equally legendary armored vehicles such as the AML, EBR, VBL and VLBRA, to provide support, liaison and reconnaissance, and the VAB personnel carrier.
