The German Armed Forces deploy two of their GEREON systems at the Army Infantry School Hammelburg. These unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), developed by the German technology company ARX Landsysteme, are utilized for multi-tier reconnaissance and ‘Robotic Breach’ operations, involving the clearance of obstacles in wooded and urban terrain. The collected sensor data is analyzed to enhance and complement existing AI models.Equipped with the integrated Acoustic Sensor Module, one of over ten different click-and-go payloads for the GEREON RCS, infantry squads can immediately detect and locate enemy fire in complex terrain.
GEREON 3, with its capability to climb stairs and advanced 360 degree sensor technology, provides the ability to swiftly identify threats within buildings. ARX Landsysteme take pride in having earned the trust of the German Armed Forces and conducting the first deliveries of two different types of GEREON-Systems this month. Going from prototypes to reliable dual-use systems at scale and equipping the Bundeswehr with the first UGVs is a significant achievement for us and marks a new phase for ARX.
