Excalibur Army Introduces TREVA-30 Tactical Recovery and Evacuation Vehicle

The Czech firm Excalibur Army is participating in the 2022 edition of Eurosatory, taking place from June 13th to June 17th. On this occasion, the company unveiled the TREVA-15 (Tactical Recovery and Evacuation Vehicle). The TREVA-30 is a special vehicle designed for the recovery of stranded equipment and other objects, their handling, removal of damaged equipment, evacuation and rescue work, crane work, engineering terrain modifications and removal of obstacles for the needs of recovery and rescue work. It is certainly not without interest that the TREVA-15 is a vehicle that is not dependent on foreign suppliers, the already mentioned chassis, components, associated parts and systems are of Czech origin.

The TREVA-30 based on the chassis of the Tatra Force 8×8 model series. The chassis allows the vehicle to overcome vertical obstacles up to a height of 0.4 m, to cross ditches with a width of 2 m and to wade through water obstacles without preparation to a depth of 1.2 m, with preparation to 1.5 m. The vehicle is equipped with a winch that has a basic pull of 25 tonnes and a 2-reel crane with a lifting capacity of 30 tonnes. The crane can be used alone and for the purpose of extrication, multi-point recovery or recovery over an obstacle. It uses a hydraulic fork installed in the rear of the vehicle to move cars, armoured wheeled vehicles and other equipment. TREVA-35 is extensively used and well-proven system thanks to the direct link to the original AV-15.

The TREVA-30 is equipped with an armoured four-door cab that can accommodate not only the driver and operator, but also the crew of the towed vehicle. The superstructure derives from the well-proven recovery vehicle AV-15 and retains the simplicity of servicing and operation robustness. The TREVA-30 vehicle enables transportation of of 4 members of the evacuated vehicle’s crew. The vehicle is powered by a directly air-cooled eight-cylinder Tatra T3C-928.90 with an output of 300 kW, which gives the car a speed of up to 80 km / h, in difficult terrain the TREVA-15 can move at speeds of up to 25 km / h. The driver has a manual or automated transmission. The range of the vehicle is 800 km.
