U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response – Central Command conduct the bilateral engagement Falcon Sentry in the United Arab Emirates, Sept 24, 2020. Falcon Sentry is a combined engagement opportunity between the UAE Armed Forces and U.S. Marine Corps to advance their collective defense capability within the region. Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command (SPMAGTF-CR-CC) regularly trains with partner nations to increase military cooperation and strengthen partnerships throughout U.S. Central Command’s Area of Responsibility.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces Joint Aviation Command (JAC) and the U.S. Marines with SPMAGTF-CR-CC have started a three-day bilateral military engagement, reinforce and demonstrate their bilateral live-fire capabilities. The engagement will include live-fire air assaults, fire support coordination with indirect fires and Close Air Support (CAS), and marksmanship and small-unit training. After more than 40 years of partnership, the U.S. and the UAE enjoy robust bilateral cooperation on a full range of issues including defense, non-proliferation, trade, law enforcement, energy policy, and cultural exchange.
