Armis is a range of 6×6 tactical military truck, with a 12-tonne payload offering exceptional all-terrain capabilities, thanks to a specific military chassis (MOTS) developed by French company Renault Trucks Defense (now ARQUUS). The truck can be air-transported by a C-130. It is particularly suited for forward logistics (ammunition, fuel or equipment supply), as well as weapon systems transport on the battlefield. Approximately 250 Armis vehicles are used daily by French armed forces as logistics carriers or CAESAR® artillery system (155mm) carriers. Armis chassis has also been selected for it’s CAESAR® and HIGUARD systems, and is in use in several Asian and Middle Eastern countries.
With its military 6 x6 chassis, which can hold a payload of up to 12 tonnes (21 t GVW), Armis can be utilized in many ways: personnel carrier (24 persons), weapon systems carrier, supply truck, cargo, mobile workshop and shelter (up to 6 M long). It’s versatility makes it suitable for all missions, even the most specific. Equipped with a 6 cylinder engine producing up to 340 hp and a transmission of up to 9 gears (automatic or manual drive), Armis can reach speeds of 90 kph on the roads and has an autonomy of up to 1,000 km. It’s power does not reduce its agility, Armis can climb slopes of 60% and handle 30% banks.
