Patria has launched a new multirole armoured transport vehicle at this year’s Eurosatory 2018 in Paris. The 6×6 vehicle is the latest addition to Patria’s family of armoured vehicles, which includes the Patria AMV 8×8. Shephard spoke with Kari Grön, senior VP of engineering at Patria, about some of the vehicle’s key attributes. Finnish vehicle manufacturer Patria stressed modularity and affordability, unveiling its new multipurpose 6×6 vehicle as a successor to the Pasi Armoured Personnel Carrier. The 6×6 operates not only as a baseline APC, but also in an ambulance variant and with the Nemo mortar system, as well as an amphibious version with propellers at the rear, forward of the open troop compartment.
