CAE Awarded Contract to Deliver Training Systems Technical Support for the Royal Australian Navy

CAE today announced it has been awarded a five‑year Training Systems Technical Support (TSTS) contract with the Commonwealth of Australia to deliver the technical sustainment of critical Naval Warfare Training systems, as well as provide engineering expertise to support training requirements and systems. The agreement ensures current training systems for Royal Australian Navy (RAN) surface vessels – including bridge simulators and combat centres – are available and integrated across numerous simulators to support multi-domain training operations. It comes into effect from 1 July 2026 with options for further extension. The contract leverages existing capabilities and creates new, specialized roles within a multi-disciplinary team of technical, IT, cyber, and software experts. From locations in Sydney and Perth, CAE will deliver technical support, cybersecurity, and engineering design services to support future naval training. By leveraging these capabilities, CAE will provide a comprehensive solution for both initial and collective training, ensuring crews can train for complex and critical naval scenarios in a safe and secure environment.

“CAE is a trusted partner delivering critical training support for the Australian warfighter, and this contract reinforces our long‑standing role in sustaining and evolving essential Royal Australian Navy training capabilities,” said France Hébert, Vice President and General Manager, Defense & Security Canada and International. “It further highlights CAE’s deep expertise in providing integrated, technical, and operational training solutions for the Australian Defence Force and its allied partners.”

As a trusted training systems integration partner, and building on a 31-year relationship with the Australian Defence Force (ADF), CAE ensures Australian military personnel receive the vital training and support required for operational readiness. This contract reinforces CAE’s position as a global and regional leader in technical, operational, and integrated defence training. For more than a decade, CAE has combined sovereign Australian expertise with distributed, data-driven learning through an end-to-end training ecosystem that enables RAN personnel, from technicians to warfighter, to build proficiency and mission readiness in safe and secure training environments. Each year, CAE provides training to support ADF personnel and maintains above 98% device availability across the Indo-Pacific region.
