The 6110-MP forms an integral part of the Sentry-H product family that meets the demands of the modern battlefield whilst offering full backwards compatibility with legacy products. The 6110-MP is one of the smallest, lightest form factor manpack HF radios available, without compromise on capabilities. It delivers a rugged Software Defined Radio (SDR) solution for military organisations that demand uncompromised, secure voice and data communications, while on the move. The 6110-MP Software Defined Radio platform is built the on latest-generation high-performance Digital Signal Processor (DSP), Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and system on chip (SoC) technology, ensures that you can get tomorrows capabilities today. The platform is fully software upgradable and is continuously supported by Codan via regular software releases. The releases add new features and system capabilities meaning that the radio product will be able to adapt to evolving user needs at minimum cost.
With a range of voice and data encryption options, the security of your information on air can be guaranteed. The 6110-MP’s second generation Digital Voice, including latest addition of 300 bit/s and 480 bit/s vocoder rates, coupled with AES-256 encryption provide superior and secure voice quality and data, even in the most challenging channel conditions. Codan new digital voice message capability allows you to send high quality recordings of your voice over a channel, when no other voice communication is available. The voice message is sent using 3G ALE robust data waveform and can be encrypted with AES-256. The innovative secure interoperability capability ensures that 6110-MP systems can be configured to operate seamlessly across HF networks using disparate encryption methods, a crucial capability in complex missions. Data application suites such as Codan SprintChat and SprintNet provide peer to peer text chat, email, and file transfer as well as email and phone SMS gateways, ensuring your mission data requirements can be fully met.
The 6110-MP front panel and optional 2320 Handset user interfaces have been designed with ruggedness, and ease of configuration and operation as primary objectives. The intuitive icon-based menu system and easy to read colour screen layout, coupled with an ability to switch between multiple native languages (including data entry modes) ensures that you can focus more on your mission and less on complex radio operations and training. The 6110-MP Software Defined Architecture provides a highly flexible and configurable platform enabling system administrators to tailor radio profiles to specific mission requirements. Operator access to radio configuration parameters can be easily locked down or made available, depending on your unique circumstances. It is designed for tactical operations, providing the operator with dedicated control of radio sound and light emission via the discreet mode switch. It also provides dual handset control through the full support for H-250 audio accessories along with being fully compatible with the 2320 Smart Handset. With a built in speaker and GPS, the 2320 handset provides direct access to core operations remote from the radio, highly suited to on the move communications.
