Avon Protection, the leading global provider of mission-critical underwater protection and CBRN systems, has been selected by the German Navy to supply its Multi-Role Rebreather for military diving operations. The contract includes the supply of Avon’s market-leading rebreather and ongoing technical support to ensure complete, sustained operation of the system’s advanced safety features and capability. The multi-million Euro award was made following the completion of the competitive public tender process and a full test programme by the German Navy. Germany now joins fellow NATO nations and a growing number of additional global Military users that rely on Avon Protection’s underwater product portfolio.

The MCM100 is Avon Protection’s state of the art electronically controlled, closed circuit, mixed gas military rebreather. Developed in collaboration with the UK’s Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and the Royal Norwegian Navy, the MCM100 is designed to excel in both shallow and deep water military diving applications; optimised for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Mine Countermeasures (MCM) and Special Operations diving.
