Mbombe 8 infantry combat vehicle is designed by South African-based defence and aerospace solutions provider Paramount Group in partnership with Kazakhstan Engineering Distribution and Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (KPE). Mbombe 8 is based on Mbombe 6×6 armoured fighting vehicle and features an armoured hull and mine-resistant flat floor technology, and is based on 8×8 wheeled chassis. The vehicle can survive the detonation of up to 10kg TNT mine blast below the hull, and a 10kg TNT blast underneath any wheel. It can also withstand 50kg TNT blast at the sides.The 8×8 infantry fighting vehicle is operated with different types of armament based on the mission requirement. The standard configuration allows for the installation of 30mm or 57mm turret to engage light armoured targets. The Mbombe 8 can be integrated with AU-220M remotely-operated turret system, developed by Russian JSC Central Research Institute Burevestnik.
