Swedish Space Corporation and Ovzon Further Broadens and Deepens Collaboration

Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) and Ovzon have signed a teaming agreement to broaden, deepen and strengthen the already successfully developed partnership with the aim to develop unique sovereign space and satellite capabilities. Sovereign space capabilities allow a country to operate space systems independently, when and where they want. They are important for national security, economic competitiveness and resilience in today’s rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape. Ovzon, with its disruptive Ovzon 3 satellite, and SSC, with its extensive space service portfolio, are uniquely positioned to support these vital objectives for Sweden, the Nordics, and NATO allies for multi-domain operations across the air, land, and maritime domains.

“Our mission is to connect and protect people, societies and organizations for a better, more secure and sustainable world. With Sweden’s entry into NATO, Ovzon is proud to stand at the forefront of SATCOM innovation. Ovzon has always been on the leading edge of SATCOM capabilities and the partnership with SSC creates a broad and deep portfolio of progressive solutions for immediate implementation and use. We look forward to a continued partnership, enabling Sweden and its allies to face the challenges of today and tomorrow”, says Per Norén, CEO of Ovzon.

“This is a strategic teaming between two very complimentary organizations that will be able to deliver the most advanced and unique solutions in a very challenged world both from a geopolitical, total defense and sustainability perspective” says Charlotta Sund, CEO of SSC.
