The Sea Giraffe 1X Multi-Modal (air and surface search) radar will be on display at booth 701 from April 8-10, 2024. The Sea Giraffe 1X (SG1X) is a tactical X-band Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) solid-state radar. The SG1X on display will be in the highly mobile and flexible “Deployment Set” configuration which is adaptable to almost any naval, surface, or ground platform. SG1X – with its compact format, low weight, and low power consumption – is easy to install and integrate without impacting platform stability. The SG1X will support Maritime Domain Awareness and Sea Denial and Control with the ability to detect, identify, classify, and track air and surface threats, and can operate independently or be integrated to share information with on board combat management systems offering sensor cooperation and data fusion flexibility.

SG1X characteristics and capabilities:
Performs air and surface surveillance simultaneously
Surveillance can be conducted in parallel with Rocket Artillery Mortar (RAM) detection
Counter – Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) through the ‘Drone Tracker’ function
Detection of small targets and fast reaction time, e.g., drone and small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) at an update rate of 60 RPM
Supports electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) with side lobe blanking and cancellation
High accuracy three-dimensional (3D) information for all targets
Target classification
Target identification to weapons systems
Fast reaction time
