In continuation of an existing maintenance order from the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD), Israeli IMCO Group announced that it has received a follow-on order from the IMOD Directorate of Production and Procurement (DOPP) for the supply of spare parts for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Eitan 8×8 Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFVs), valued at approximately 30 million NIS (about 8 million USD). These spare parts are essential for the ongoing maintenance and operational readiness of the IDF’s AFVs in routine and during the “Swords of Iron” war. The order is scheduled for delivery throughout 2024. Eitan (Hebrew for “steadfast”, “firm” or “strong”) is an armoured fighting vehicle (AFV) developed by the IMOD to replace the ageing M113 armoured personnel carrier in use by the Israel Defence Forces.[

“IMCO Group is honored to be a trusted supplier of Israel’s Defense Ministry’s Merkava and Armored Vehicles Directorate, and to have an exclusive contribution to the production of the Eitan APV. This additional order underscores the trust that the Israeli MOD has in our capabilities. Our advanced electrical and electro-optic sub-systems play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and survivability of the IDF’s newest armored fighting vehicle. We remain committed to contributing to the nation’s defense capabilities, these days during the war as well as in the latest decades,” said IMCO Group CEO, Mr. Ariel Kandel.

IMCO Group has announced that its subsidiaries, IMCO Projects, Nir-Or, ADTI, and EMT, will collaborate to produce electrical and electro-optics sub-systems for the platform. These sub-systems will include IMCO Projects’ electric power and control units, operational control panels, platform interconnection cabling, platform main computing cradle unit, and illumination solutions. Additionally, Nir-Or will provide various computer units and a Video Management System, which will offer a complete video management suite for the vehicle, including a display with an intuitive control interface. By integrating real-time AI analytics, Nir-Or’s solution will provide all the necessary information for the commander, driver, and gunner, enabling them to manage the mission smartly and effectively while sharing a joint situational awareness picture.

IMCO Group is a key supplier of the IMOD MANTAK (Merkava and Armored Vehicles Directorate). The company has an integral part in the development and manufacturing of all IMOD armored fighting vehicles, including the Merkava tank and Namer and Eitan armored personnel carriers (APCs). Through its subsidiary companies in the defense division, IMCO Group provides a large set of sub-systems for the IDF’s AFVs. These include electric power and control units, platform interconnection cabling, platform main computing unit, and Video Management Systems. The new order is part of IMCO Group’s broader annual agreement for the support and maintenance of the IDF’s AFV sub-systems.
