Indonesia’s Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, in the pursuit of international defense procurement collaboration, has ensured the transfer of technology and local production capabilities for defense equipment within Indonesia. Following the footsteps of Republikorp, which recently entered into a cooperative agreement with Excalibur Army of the Czech Republic, a license for the production of the tactical Patriot II 4×4 armored vehicles has been secured for Indonesia. These Indonesian variants of tactical vehicles, weighing 12 tons, come equipped with a Remote Control Weapon System (RCWS), offering a choice of weaponry that includes 7.62mm machine guns, 12.7mm caliber weapons, and 40mm automatic grenade launchers (AGL).
