Dutch military vehicle manufacturer Defenture is set to make a significant presence at the upcoming DALO Industry Days, scheduled for August 23rd and 24th. The event, organized by the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistic Organisation (DALO), serves as a premier platform for showcasing cutting-edge defense technologies and innovations. This year’s event promises to be even more captivating as Defenture unveils its flagship air transportable tactical vehicle, the Groundforce (GRF), alongside the versatile 4×4 SCORPION all-terrain vehicle (ATV) platform. The much-anticipated event will see Defenture’s impressive display hosted at the booth of Danish company Military Equipment Denmark, a key partner in Defenture’s pursuit of excellence. To add a thrilling touch to the event, the demonstration area will be set within a local gravel pit. This unique setting will provide an ideal backdrop for the vehicles to demonstrate their prowess as they navigate through the gravel pit’s challenging terrain, conquering winding roads and steep slopes with ease.

The DEFENTURE’s Groundforce (GRF) is a truly MOTS (military of the shelf platform) with a weight of five tons and a payload of two tons, the platform is certified air-transportable (CH-47F Chinook). The platform gives full configuration freedom and offers integrated and modular ballistic protection. Defenture, an experienced company that designs, develops, assembles and maintains battlefield-proven tactical vehicles. The product portfolio offers all configurations required for light tactical requirements up to 10 tons. The GRF system has already been introduced in and is fully verified by the Dutch Army and forms the basis for the planned LuLa vehicle family. The weight and dimensions of the GRF are designed to fit in a Chinook helicopter (Dimensions 1800 (W) x 5100 (L) x 1870 (H) MM). Special lifting brackets make the GRF also air transportable in undersling, hanging from a helicopter. The battlefield proven GRF-platform is interchangeable and highly modular configurable, modular ballistic protection (STANAG level 1).

The SCORPION, a cutting-edge tactical diesel quad, has been collaboratively developed with W-Tec B.V., representing a notable achievement in military vehicle technology. The Ministry of Defence in the Netherlands has demonstrated their confidence in this innovative platform by placing an order for 249 units, officially designated as the Militaire Diesel Quad (MDQ). The vehicle can carry a payload of up to 520 kg and has a maximum total weight of 1220 kg. The SCORPION’s powertrain is driven by a 3-cylinder diesel common rail engine that generates a maximum power output of 45 kW and a peak torque of 200 Nm. Its fuel versatility is underscored by its compatibility with multi-fuel diesel types such as F-54 and F-63, and it can carry up to 30 liters of fuel in its tank. This setup allows the SCORPION to operate efficiently over an operational fuel range of 600 km, providing extended operational capabilities without the need for frequent refueling.

Live demonstrations will be a highlight of the event, offering attendees a chance to witness firsthand the exceptional capabilities of Defenture’s dedicated Military Off-The-Shelf (MOTS) platforms. These platforms are designed to provide the highest level of mobility, ensuring readiness for operations across diverse theaters of engagement worldwide. The DALO Industry Days have grown significantly since their inception in 2012. This year’s event marks a milestone as it expands to span two full days. The growth is a testament to the event’s importance as a meeting ground for defense industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts.
