Elbit Systems is honored to welcome Denmark to both ATMOS and PULS user-groups. With the introduction of the advanced ATMOS self-propelled howitzer and the cutting-edge PULS artillery system, Denmark’s defense capabilities are set to reach new heights. Denmark has awarded contracts to Elbit Systems for 155 mm/52 calibre Autonomous Truck Mounted howitzer System (ATMOS) self-propelled howitzers (SPHs) and Precise and Universal Launching System (PULS) multiple rocket launcher (MRL) artillery systems. 19 ATMOS self-propelled howitzers are scheduled to be delivered from the first quarter (Q1) until the Q4 of 2024 and eight PULS systems from the Q2 of 2023 to the Q1 of 2024, with a full operating capability planned for 2025. In addition to a missile package, the PULS artillery system procurement includes command post and supply vehicles.

The ATMOS self-propelled gun-howitzer was developed by Soltam (Elbit Systems) as a private venture. The ATMOS uses Tatra T815 VVN 6×6 truck chassis. The ATMOS has been demonstrated implemented on 8×8 trucks. However this version received no production orders so far. Vehicle is powered by a diesel engine, developing 315 hp. The system is integrated with a fully computerized system, providing an automatic control, accurate navigation and target acquisition, the system is offered with various gun barrel lengths, ranging from 39 to 52 calibre, in order to meet different customer requirements. Howitzer can be operated manually in case of emergency. This artillery system can be airlifted with a C-130 Hercules tactical transport aircraft.

The PULS is a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) developed and manufacture by Elbit Systems. The multi-purpose launcher features two PODS; each POD is designed for a specific rocket type: the Accular 122mm (18 rockets) with a range of up to 35km, the Accular 160mm (10 rockets) with a range of up to 40km, the EXTRA (4 rockets) with a range of up to 150km and the Predator Hawk (2 rockets) with a range of up to 300km. The system can accurately and effectively neutralize the specified targets at all ranges. PULS is designed to maximize response with optimal firing flexibility, without the need for special modifications to the system. A typical firing mission can be executed in less than one minute from initiation.
