MD Helicopters (MDH) is exhibiting at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) Exhibition in Malaysia, May 23-27 in the USA Pavilion (booth B14A) where they will have on static display one of the Malaysian Army MD 530G Light Attack Scout helicopter. MDH will be exhibiting with their new civil and military sales representative for Malaysia and Indonesia, JAG Aviation Group. JAG Aviation Group provides complete helicopter solutions, including new and pre-owned helicopter sales, engineering, charter flights, and utility services with operational divisions in both Malaysia and Indonesia.

“We are excited to be meeting with our customers in this region where our helicopters have had great operational success. The MD 530 aircraft series has always been valued for its deployability, superior maneuverability, and low operation and sustainment costs,” said Brad Pedersen, President and CEO of MD Helicopters. “In addition, partnering with JAG Aviation Group will continue to strengthen our international service center and sales representation network.”

The Malaysian Army MD 530G provides mission adaptability with the integration of the Wescam L3 MX10D sensor and the Pathfinder Ares Weapons Management System from Tek Fusion. Last year MDH delivered six MD 530G Light Attack Scout helicopters to the Malaysia Ministry of Defense, along with full pilot and aircraft maintenance training. These integrated systems are used to support the Dillion M134 Mini Gun, FN Herstal Heavy Machine Gun and Rocket Machine Gun pods, and 2.75-inch Folding-Fin Aerial Rockets (guided and unguided). The aircraft provides overwhelming close-in support night or day, as well as outstanding reconnaissance capability.

MD Helicopters, LLC (MDH), is an icon in helicopter manufacturing since 1967 when the 500 series was introduced. The factory has changed ownership over the years, initially Hughes, then McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, then owned by two companies in the private sector, and now MD Helicopters after one (1) year of restructuring. MD manufactures a selection of high-performance helicopters for the Military, Police, HEMS, VIP, and for many other mission profiles. With more than 1,500 aircraft currently in service around the world, MD Helicopters is a substantial company by any measure.
