Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has contracted Bagira Systems to provide the mission trainer simulator for its Spike anti-tank guided missile family. The contract follows on from the successful delivery of the Spike training system by the companies to the Israeli Defence Forces as part of the Joint-Fires Mission Trainers and the WARTAC (Warrior Readiness Training Centre) project. The three-year contract covers production and supply of a simulation package integrated with the original weapon system components, and will be fielded internationally by several Spike operators.

The Spike Missile Trainer Simulator provides realistic training with a focus on replicating missile behaviour, flight characteristics, battlespace environmental simulation, and the use of the original weapon system. The new simulator can be integrated with other simulation systems, to conduct exercises in the same virtual battlespace, with the addition of joint-fires and infantry simulators and/or tactical engagement simulator systems (TESS). Technological developments have enabled the military field to accomplish some quantum leaps forward in recent years.

Israeldefense reported that the Israel Defense Forces Nahal Brigade has recently introduced a cutting-edge simulator intended designed by Bagira Systems to provide a tool for the assessment and selection course the Brigade holds for new candidates for their reconnaissance battalion. Technological developments have enabled the military field to accomplish some quantum leaps forward in recent years. Countless technological resources like drones, other unmanned platforms, and various weapon systems enter the battlefield, making it possible to reduce friction and operate the resources remotely.

Bagira Systems is a leader in the field of training and simulation. Bagira designs, develops and operates simulators and training processes, focusing on the customer’s operational readiness and training processes improvement. To date, more than 500,000 soldiers have used the simulators developed and supported by Bagira Systems.
