ROKETSAN signed a contract for KHAN Ground-to-ground Ballistic Missile System and HISAR Air Defense Missile System to Indonesia during the Indo Defense 2022 event. While the offer was submitted by Roketsan to the main contractor Excalibur company, it was learned that the loan to the Indonesia will be provided by Czech Eximbank. The main contractor Excalibur signed a contract with the Indonesian Ministry of Defense for the sale. In terms of weapon systems and ammunition, Excalibur signed a subcontracting contract with Roketsan in September 2021. The contract is planned to enter into force in 2022. Under the contract, Roketsan-produced KHAN and H?SAR missiles will be delivered to the Indonesian Army within the scope of the project in which the Czech Excalibur company is the main contractor.

KHAN, the export version of the BORA Missile currently used by the Turkish Armed Forces. Bora is a tactical ballistic missile developed by Turkish company ROKETSAN. It has 610 mm diameter, a length of 8.0 m, a total weight of 2800 kg, and 280 to 700 km maximum range ramjet. It uses GPS and inertial guidance and carries a 570-kg high-explosive or fragmentation warhead. Accuracy is 30-50 m CEP. It was tested and entered service in May 2017.The missile can be launched from an 8×8 Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL). In accordance with the customer’s requirements, it can also be launched from other tactical wheeled vehicle platforms with integration-compatible interfaces. KHAN utilizes a completely new platform Tatra T-815 8×8.

HISAR (Fortress) is a family of short, medium and long-range surface-to-air missile systems being developed by Roketsan and Aselsan since 2007. The missiles are developed by Roketsan, while most sensors and electronics are developed by Aselsan. The missile family consists of the short range Hisar-A, medium range Hisar-O, the 100 km long range Hisar-U and the 150 km air defence system S?PER. Missile seeker of Hisar-A and Hisar-O is infrared homing. H?SAR Air Defence Missiles are used for the protection of military bases, ports, facilities and troops against attacks from rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft, cruise missiles, air-to-ground missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). HISAR-A and HISAR-O have a modular structure as part of a family concept, and are designed to be compatible with different platforms, fire control, and command control infrastructures.

Roketsan Roket Sanayii ve Ticaret A.S. (ROKETSAN) is a major Turkish weapons manufacturer and defense contractor based in Ankara. Roketsan’s current share holders include Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (55.5%), ASELSAN (15%), MKEK (15%), Vak?flar Bankas? (10%), HAVELSAN (4.5%).[4] Roketsan is best known for its vast range of guided and unguided rockets as well as guided missiles such as Bora, Atmaca, Cirit, UMTAS and OMTAS.
Excalibur belonging to the CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP (CSG) holding traditionally present themselves at the Indodefence fair. CSG holding companies are very active and commercially successful in Indonesia. In the past years, they delivered to Indonesia, for example, armored vehicles, Tatra vehicles, rocket launchers, engineering equipment, airport radars, ammunition, spare parts, etc., and other projects will be clarified.
