The Finnish Ministry of Defence (Puolustusministeri) has decided, on 14 September 2022, to procure field radios for the Finnish Defence Forces (Puolustusvoimat). They will be supplied by Israeli Elbit Systems C4I and Cyber Ltd. The overall value of the contract without value added tax is about EUR 24.48 million. The field radios will be delivered to the Finnish Defence Forces in 2022-2024 and they will complement tactical command of troops and fire control. They will be compatible with the previously purchased field radios used by the Finnish Army (Maavoimat). In addition, the new equipment will replace the analogue field radio equipment that will be decommissioned.
