MorseCorp Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts, was awarded a $14,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract to develop a variety of technologies to support military airdrop of cargo and personnel, including both hardware and software. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work will be performed in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with an estimated completion date of Aug. 13, 2025. Fiscal 2020 research, development, test and evaluation (U.S. Army) funds in the amount of $2,600,000 were obligated at the time of the award. MorseCorp is an employee owned company that provides customer-focused algorithm development, software development, and system integration services. With funding and leadership provided by the U.S. Army’s PM Force Sustainment Systems (PM FSS) and the Combat Capabilities Development Command, Soldier Center (CCDC SC), MORSE Corp has served as the primary developer for Aidrop.mil for over three years. During that time, MORSE has designed and implemented numerous new and improved features for rapidly producing airdrop mission plans, dropzone terrain analyses, and airdrop damage estimates. Most recently, MORSE developed a new React front end with integrated ArcGIS maps to improve the user-interface responsiveness and usability.
