The training ship Perekop of the Baltic fleet passed the Gulf of Aden, the Red Sea, the Suez Canal and entered the Mediterranean Sea.

A few days earlier, overcoming areas of sea pirates’ activity, crew members were instructed on actions in case of emergency situations and the use of weapons. In addition, trainings of ship crews took place.

On board the ship Perekop future military sailors are trained in navigational disciplines, improve the skills of ship control, including actions in case of a difficult navigational situation, keep watch as standby officers of the deck.

On 23 August, the training ship of the Baltic Fleet left Kronstadt for a training mission, during which Perekop will cross four oceans and pass through the Northeast Passage, covering a total of more than 20,000 nautical miles.
