German Armed Forces to Enhance Capabilities with Boxer Skyranger 30 Mobile Air Defense Systems

Germany is taking a significant leap in bolstering its air defense capabilities with the acquisition of 19 Skyranger 30 mobile air defense systems for the Bundeswehr, to be delivered by 2028. Rheinmetall will deliver the first prototype by the end of 2024, followed by 18 series-production units. This acquisition is part of a broader effort by the German government to modernize its defense systems in response to new and evolving aerial threats, particularly drones and low-flying aircraft.
