In a significant development for Spain’s defence sector, EM&E Group, a prominent Spanish entity recognised as a leader in defence and security innovation and technologies, unveiled its new 6×6 FEROX armoured vehicle today at the FEINDEF 2025 exhibition. The event was attended by high-ranking authorities and key representatives from both industrial and technological domains, underscoring the importance of this milestone. This marks the first time that such a vehicle will be produced entirely within Spain, with manufacturing set to take place at EM&E Group’s facilities in Linares (Jaén). This initiative is expected to bolster the technological and productive capacities of Spain’s domestic industrial base. The FEROX represents a transformative advancement in tactical mobility, protection, and firepower, offering an unparalleled combination of operational capability, situational awareness, and adaptability across conventional and asymmetric combat scenarios.
Designed specifically for high-intensity operations in hostile environments, the vehicle features modular architecture and incorporates cutting-edge ballistic and mine protection systems. The unveiling at FEINDEF 2025 is the first phase of a broader strategy to manufacture and assemble the FEROX in Spain. This effort is underpinned by an agreement signed during IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi between EM&E Group and NIMR Automotive (NIMR), a subsidiary of the EDGE Group and a globally renowned leader in the design and production of high-performance armoured vehicles. The collaboration includes provisions for knowledge transfer and the progressive industrialisation of the vehicle within Spain, granting EM&E Group full design authority. This move aims to enhance Spain’s technological sovereignty and strengthen its defence industrial ecosystem, aligning with broader national strategic objectives.
Fernando Fernández, CEO of EM&E Group, highlighted the significance of this achievement, stating: “The presentation of FEROX at FEINDEF is a milestone not only for our company but also for the national industry.
