The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), a leading aerospace subsidiary of the Rostec State Corporation, has delivered a new batch of Su-35S Flanker-E++ multirole fighters to the Russian Ministry of Defense, marking another step in the continued modernization of the Russian Air Forces (VKS). According to UAC, the newly delivered aircraft completed a full cycle of factory testing, including extensive trials across multiple operational profiles and environmental conditions. Following final acceptance checks, the aircraft were ferried to their assigned air bases under VKS command.

The Su-35S is a 4++ generation, highly maneuverable air superiority fighter designed to engage both aerial and ground targets at extended ranges, operating effectively in all weather conditions and during day or night missions. Its Irbis-E radar, thrust-vectoring engines, and expanded weapons suite make it one of the most capable non-stealth platforms in the Russian inventory. Pilots from the Aerospace Forces have praised the Su-35S for its superior flight performance, advanced avionics, and combat effectiveness. The aircraft’s capabilities—particularly in beyond-visual-range (BVR) engagements—are said to meet all current requirements for air superiority and tactical strike missions. VKS crews expressed appreciation to UAC engineers and production teams during handover ceremonies, acknowledging the critical role these frontline assets play in maintaining Russian airpower readiness.

In a statement, UAC CEO Vadim Badekha emphasized that deliveries of key combat aircraft—including the Su-35S, Su-34 Fullback strike fighter, and the emerging Su-57 Felon fifth-generation fighter—are proceeding on schedule as part of the 2025 state defense procurement plan. “Production lines are operating efficiently, with clear focus on fulfilling the state defense order on time and to the highest standard,” Badekha said. “We are also investing in scaling up capacity through new infrastructure and upgraded facilities, ensuring we can support future growth in aircraft output to bolster national defense.”

This latest delivery underscores Russia’s sustained effort to reinforce its tactical aviation fleet amid ongoing operations and strategic modernization goals. With serial production of the Su-35S continuing alongside next-generation platforms like the Su-57, Moscow appears committed to maintaining a balanced air force structure combining high-end 4++ generation systems with nascent stealth capabilities.
