NCC’s assignment is to construct a training building for the 103 air defense system. The project will be carried out on behalf of the Swedish Fortifications Agency, which owns, manages and develops Sweden’s defense properties. The hall building will comprise a total of approximately 24,000 square meters on two floors and include halls for trucks and equipment maintenance, special rooms for theory and simulator training, an assembly hall, offices, changing rooms and service areas. The area surrounding the building will contain large shunting yards and will be fenced-off. The building is being constructed to comply with Miljöbyggnad Silver level where appropriate.
“We have previously collaborated with the Swedish Fortifications Agency and are pleased to again be entrusted to build modern and functional premises for the Swedish Armed Forces. The training hall is a large and multifaceted project where NCC has a proven track record in similar assignments incorporating several different functions in a single building,” says Henrik Landelius, Head of NCC Building Sweden.
NCC is experienced in security classified projects. The contract amount is approximately SEK 660 million and the order will be registered in the NCC Building Sweden business area in the third quarter of 2023.
