The Hungarian Ministry of Defense (Magyarorszag honvedelmi minisztere) has signed a joint venture agreement with Dynamit Nobel Defence GmbH (DND). The agreement was signed on 9 December, by Dynamit Nobel Defence’s CEO Michael Humbek and László Palkovics the CEO of N7 Holding Ltd, Hungary’s state owned national defense industry innovation company. Hungarian Army will become the first customer for the the newly developed RGW110 HH-T (Recoilless Grenade Weapon, 110 mm, HEAT/HESH Tandem), which like the earlier RGW-90, has a tandem HEAT and HESH warhead capability. DND had already signed a letter of intent with the Hungarian state about two years ago, according to which a joint venture partner is being sought for production in Kiskunfelegyhaza, 120 km south-east of Budapest.

RGW 110 extends the calibre of the RGW (Recoilless Grenade Weapon) family – currently in 60 mm and 90 mm warhead variants – to a 110 mm calibre variant which. RGW 90 is a German designation for the MATADOR (Man-portable, Anti-tank, Anti-door). RGW90 is a 90-millimetre (3.5 in) man-portable, disposable anti-armour and anti-brickwall weapon system developed by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), in collaboration with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Dynamit Nobel Defence (DND) joint team.. It is an updated version of the German-Singaporean Armbrust design, and operates on the same principles. RGW60 is a variant that is smaller and fires a 60 mm warhead, instead of the usual 90 mm.

RGW 110 HH-T as a direct successor to the Panzerfaust 3 family. Compared with the Panzerfaust 3, the RGW 110 HH-T is said to be around 4 kg lighter and, with an effective range of up to 800 m, can engage targets at roughly twice the range. The weapon also possesses increased accuracy compared to its predecessor, owing to an improved sighting system. The new warhead is to be shorter and feature an ergonomically optimised extractor barrel with a pre-high charge, which could increase penetration performance over the DM72A1 to up to 1,000 mm of rolled homogenous armour equivalent (RHAe) behind explosive reactive armour (ERA). RGW 110 variants will feature the most lethal and effective warheads designed in the field of shoulder-fired infantry weapons.

According to the DND representative, the Kiskunfélegyháza plant will be integrated into the supply chain for Dynamit Nobel Defence GmbH, and will also supply RGW 90 and RGW 110 weapons for markets beyond Hungary in the future. Dynamit Nobel Defence GmbH (DND) is a German medium-sized defence company. DND is a direct successor of the former Dynamit Nobel companies belonging to the Alfred Nobel Group. It was founded in 1865 by Alfred Nobel. Dynamit Nobel Defence (DND) fields two distinct shoulder-fired weapon concepts: The RGW (Recoilless Grenade Weapon) system and the iconic Panzerfaust 3 family. Both concepts encompass a variety of Davis Gun principle, recoilless, shoulder-launched, single-soldier operated, disposable weapons for anti-tank, anti-structure and multipurpose uses.
