Marvin Engineering Awarded $59 Million Contract for Purchase of MAU-12 Bomb Racks

Marvin Engineering Co. LLC, Inglewood, California, has been awarded a $59,930,725 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity requirements contract for the purchase of MAU-12 bomb racks in support of the F-16 weapon system. Work will be performed in Inglewood, California, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 21, 2031. This award is the result of a sole source acquisition and is 100% U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS). FMS funds in the amount of $6,402,952 will be obligated on the first order at the time of award. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Georgia, is the contracting activity.

The MAU-12 Ejector Rack Assembly is designed to suspend on aircraft and eject conventional or nuclear stores, and external fuel tanks. The bomb rack uses electrically fired impulse cartridges and a gas operated mechanism. The rack is equipped with two sets of shackles, one set spaced 14 inches apart and one set spaced at 30 inches.
