Royal Thai Air Force Pilots Train with Rohde & Schwarz M3AR Software Defined Radio

Rohde & Schwarz was awarded a contract to deliver R&S M3AR software defined, multiband-capable airborne radios for the Royal Thai Air Force’s (RTAF) new Textron Aviation T-6C Texan II training aircraft, to be called the T-6TH within the RTAF. The R&S M3AR multiband, multimode, multirole radios are the solution of choice for the reliable transmission of mission-critical information, whether for jet or propeller aircraft, helicopters or unmanned aerial vehicles.

The software defined, multiband-capable (with frequency range from 30 MHz to 400 MHz) airborne transceivers in the R&S®M3AR family have a modular design and state-of-the-art technology for high MTBF values and a long life. The compact and lightweight transceivers offer high performance, making them suitable for operation in all types of aircraft, including unmanned aerial vehicles. Different waveforms are available, which can be installed at any time to provide interoperability in a variety of operational scenarios.
