During Rheinmetall’s latest edition of the 35mm Air Defence Systems Group event in 2021, Rheinmetall presented the Searanger 20 High Precision Naval Gun System for mounting on any type of boat or ship. The Oerlikon Searanger 20 is the optimal main armament for small boats for coast guard, police, anti-pirate and anti-smuggling missions and can also be installed on larger vessels as side gun and play an important role in close-range defence. Due to the integrated stabilisation and ballistics computation, target engagement is simple and effective. Recording capability of sight video for training exercises or legal investigations. External target data assignment by interfacing with ship designation system via a RS-422/485 link.

The integrated high-precision 20mm Oerlikon Cannon KAE is a very reliable weapon with a high rate of fire and excellent precision. It is simple to operate and maintain, while the belted ammunition feed contains up to 200 rounds ready to fire. Gun console with hand controllers for weapon control and the multi-function display (MFD) for the EOS system.
