Rheinmetall Showcases Enhanced MK93 CrewServed Weapons Mount

American Rheinmetall Systems, LLC (ARS) showcases its redesigned solution for the U.S. Army’s existing MK93 Crew- Served Weapons Mount at the Rheinmetall booth (#1803) during the 2021 AUSA annual meeting, held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, October 11-13th, in Washington, DC. The MK93 Mount Upgrade not only decreases the system’s weight, but also improves weapon handling by soft mounting both the MK19 and M2A1 weapons with a Rheinmetall patented recoil dampening mechanism.

The MK93 Mount is designed to reduce recoil forces, while minimizing the load on the supporting platforms.
This increases stability of the weapon system during firing, which greatly improves the first round hit probability. The MK93 Mount provides Soldiers with improved overall accuracy by up to 20% over existing rigid mounts. Another advantage to the user is the fact that the new mount is field upgradable using existing MK93 components. The solution is also compatible with standard ammo containers for easy collection of spent rounds.
The MK93 mount upgrade has been designed and manufactured by American Rheinmetall Systems in Biddeford, Maine.
