The Leonardo’s ATOS is the advanced, flexible, open architecture airborne mission management system that integrates a number of sensors and sub-systems to provide full situational awareness and timely decision making. ATOS Mission System is an advanced solution for surveillance –maritime and overland- that integrates a customizable suite of sensors to provide the Customer with timely actionable information.
The ATOS is composed of a “core” called Mission Management System which includes Mission Computers and the ergonomic operator Console. Thanks to a modular and scalable architecture, ATOS can integrate a wide set of sensors such as: Radar, Electronic Support Measures, EO, IFF Interrogator, Anti Submarine Warfare systems. It also integrates the communication systems: V/UHF – HF Radios, BLOS and LOS Tactical Data Links.
The System adopts a Human Machine Interface improving the User Experience and reducing operator
workload. With more than 60 operative systems around the world, ATOS has been enhanced over the years to meet new requirements and needs of many international customers. The Suite of mission sensors and other mission equipment can be tailored to meet the specificoperati onal needs of each end-user and can include Leonardo, third parties or GFE mission sensors and equipment.
