Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Tomer, a government-owned company producing rocket propulsion systems, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). As part of the MoU, the two companies will expand their existing synergy in the fields of propulsion for rockets and missile development. The MoU includes investment in joint projects, mutual R&D and establishing infrastructure for the companies’ respective R&D departments for the benefit of developing future, advanced technologies in the field of rocket propulsion and innovative rocket motors, at a higher quality and faster than in the past.

Tomer is a government-owned defense company established as part of the deregulation of former government company Military Industries and received the central rocket propulsion portfolio for Israel’s defense establishment. Tomer is positioned at the forefront of rocket propulsion technology development and manufacturing. Providing a national knowledge center for the U.S. State of Israel, Tomer develops and manufactures rocket systems used in air, land, and naval weapon systems used by Israel’s Ministry of Defense (MOD), Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and foreign armed forces. Established decades ago as a significant contributor to the defense of the new and embattled country, IAI’s solutions excelled in the battlefield and the company quickly grew to become a world leader in its field.
