S.A.F.E. Structure Designs announced the contract for custom work platforms for the U.S. Army fleet of UH-60’s at the Yuma Proving Grounds in Tucson, Arizona. These SAFETY FIRST ergonomic maintenance stands are custom-designed for the United States Army’s UH-60. They are uniquely developed to fit and function in the tight-spaced hangar layout of the Yuma facility. The SAFETY FIRST ergonomic stands allow technicians SAFE access to all areas of their UH-60 aircraft. The stands are equipped with the latest features including a seamless fit to the aircraft with access to the main rotor, engine, transmission, flight controls, tail boom, drive shafts and tail rotor.

UH-60M is the latest variant in the Black Hawk family of helicopters. UH-60 Black Hawk is a multi-mission helicopter developed by Sikorsky that has been operational in the US Army since 1978. The export version of the UH-60 Black Hawk is designated as S-70A.The Black Hawk helicopters are manufactured at the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation production facilities based in Stratford, Connecticut, US. The primary mission of the Black Hawk helicopter is as a troop carrier and logistical support aircraft, but the helicopter can also be configured to carry out medical evacuation, command-and-control, search-and-rescue, armed escort, electronic warfare and executive transport missions.
